The Future Cube facility is the result of a partnership between Havering Council, SEGRO, the London Riverside Business Improvement District (BID), and the Greater London Authority with the Manufacturing Technology Centre selected as the lead delivery partner on-site.
Located in Rainham, perfectly situated on the border of London and the wider southeast, Future Cube is home to a range of demonstrators and tools that help businesses to explore and adopt new technologies and improve their efficiency, productivity and competitiveness in an exciting and engaging way.
The facility was formally opened by Deputy Mayor Jules Pipe CBE in a special ceremony. He was joined by the Leader of Havering Council, Councillor Damian White, and representatives from the Riverside BID, and SEGRO.
Future Cube is a unique offer for London and a recognised leader in areas that are of key importance to businesses and the local community. The partnership is a platform for business innovation for the construction, engineering and logistics sector in Rainham and London as a whole. A focal point both SMEs and large corporations, Future Cube aims to attract academic institutions, sector bodies and research organisations.
By being open to all businesses and students of all ages, Future Cube will provide the community and local employees access to the latest immersive technology, raising the profile of the construction, engineering and logistics sectors and creating a pipeline of high-skilled talent needed for the future economy of Havering and London.
To help businesses understand their challenges and how the MTC can help overcome them, the Future Cube offers free initial consultations.
The first step of your journey with us is a line walk of your facility with no obligation to commit to any of the work discussed.
A senior member of the team will visit your facility and conduct a tour of your business’s operations to obtain an initial understanding of the challenges faced, before providing guidance on the best route forward.
Future Cube brings skills and experience from across a range of technologies and, provided we can agree on a business case, the priorities, and an appropriate work programme, we will share with you a proposal outlining how Future Cube could support the implementation process.
For qualifying SMEs, we will also discuss with you the Innovate UK REACH funding that is available to support the cost of your project with us.
