The MTC is innovating the Electrification sector, and to support this innovation, has invested in a brand-new switch track braiding machine.
The Switch Track Braiding Machine has been purchased to enhance electric motor wiring, as the machines capabilities open it up particularly well to the braiding of litz wire, however the technology also opens itself up to further possibilities, with potential to be used in Aerospace, Defence and Security, Automotive and Med-Tech.
The MTC is now looking forward to continuing to pursue new concepts and ideas for these sectors.

Products can be created at a lower weight and have increased capacity, due to the flexibility of the Switch Track Braiding Machine.
Our innovation in braiding has allowed us to enhance reliability through the use of branching. Products, such as wire harnesses, can be branched ensuring continuity of the braiding between the main wire harness and branched sections. This means they don’t need joining, lowering the risk of breakages.
Products which previously had to be ordered from overseas can now be made locally, allowing you to have more control over your final product and no longer having to be tied into often limited supplies and options available abroad.
The MTC's innovative approach to braiding has opened the braiding process up to limitless possibilities, in previously untouched or under-utilised sectors such as ADS, Automotive and Med-Tech.
The MTC, with it's wealth of cross-sectoral experience and contacts, is already innovating products and processes for these new sectors.
