Ian Joesbury

The MTC Board represents our visionary founding institutions, The University of Birmingham, Loughborough University, and The University of Nottingham as well as industry leaders. They drive innovation and ensure MTC remains at the cutting edge of UK manufacturing advancement.
Ian has worked in complex engineering and manufacturing environments throughout his career.
Formerly President of Meggitt Polymers & Composites and Group Director of Operations Excellence for Meggitt plc, he has operated on a global basis.
His early career included Ford Motor Company and ICI plc followed by over 20 years in Aerospace with Lucas, TRW and Goodrich.
More recently Ian has gained significant experience in high technology SME’s in both executive and non-executive roles and is CEO of Exovent, a UK charity committed to reintroducing negative pressure ventilation to patients across the world.
Ian has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Imperial College, an MBA from Warwick Business School and is a fellow of both the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
