MTC is excited to announce our partnership with MBDA, a world-leader in cutting-edge complex weapons that are helping to play a crucial role in keeping nations secure.

MBDA is a unique multi-national organisation that was created in the spirit of international defence cooperation. Founded in December 2001 as the union of France, Italy, and the United Kingdom’s main missile defence companies, with each company combining their decades of unique experience and heritage. This was only expanded upon when in 2006 MBDA took its next leap through the acquisition of LFK-Lenkflugkörpersysteme GmbH, the German missile subsidiary of EADS (now Airbus).

MBDA now employs 15,000+ people globally to support the national sovereignty of the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and their allies worldwide.

We are pleased to join MTC. At MBDA, we value cooperation. Becoming a member of MTC provides access to its unique capabilities and cutting-edge equipment. It enables us to join a community of like-minded experts, providing collaboration opportunities with other members, from big companies to SMEs and start-ups. Something we believe is crucial to innovation.

Matt Beaumont, Director of Mechanical Engineering - MBDA

As accelerators for innovation across the defence industry, MBDA and MTC are natural partners. Collaboration and development with MTC’s expertise in 3D printing, electronics manufacturing, and process optimisation will further MBDA’s already world class complex weapon systems into the future and continue to safeguard security for decades to come.

I am delighted to see MBDA become a Tier 1 Member of MTC. MBDA continually pushes the boundaries of engineering excellence and the development of next-generation technologies to provide capability advantage. MTC’s core ethos of collaboration and innovation aligns perfectly with MBDA’s strategic thinking and values. Together, we will accelerate the pace of innovation and shift the art of the possible. We look forward to working closely with MBDA as a strategic research partner and supporting their future growth ambitions.
